Bio

Hailing from Gold Coast, Australia, Ashleigh Gentle is quickly making a name for herself in the triathlon world. At 27 years old, Ashleigh has a strong passion for the sport and the results to back it up. She’s a two-time ITU Junior World Silver Medalist, the Junior World Champion in 2010, placed 5th in the World series race in 2013, represented Australia in the Commonwealth Games in 2014, and took home a silver medal in the Yokohama World Triathlon Series in 2015. Ashleigh currently races on the World Triathlon Series circuit. Her sport of choice is theOlympic Distance Triathlon and she has ambitions to be selected into the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. In 2018, despite a season of ups and downs, Gentle finished 6th in the overall WTS rankings, thanks to a strong finish to the season that included silver in Edmonton and a thrilling gold in the Grand Final on the Gold Coast.

When she’s not training or racing, you can find Ashleigh cooking, reading, throwing dinner parties for friends, going to the beach, finding new cafes to eat at with her Mum and drinking her own custom blend of Thump coffee with her boyfriend and fellow pro triathlete, Josh Amberger.

What gets you excited about embarking on an adventure?
The freedom and independence of embarking on an adventure! Whether this is heading to a new country to race or going on my annual camping adventure with Josh. Sometimes the independence can be a little scary and there are always ups and downs in the life of a triathlete but an adventure isn’t always supposed to be comfortable, and that’s exciting too.

What does “Genuine” mean to you?
Real, true and honest. All qualities of which I value so strongly, in a person and also in a product.
