About Arian
Sometime in the late 90's there was a kid who had no direction until he took a photography class in community college. I lucked out having Yosemite and the Sierra Nevadas in my backyard as I was most inspired by Ansel Adams' photographic work. Back in the film era, it was pretty hard to get noticed as an outdoor photographer, but somehow I was able to peruse photography year-round from the rivers in the summer to the slopes in the winter. Spending my whole life thus far in the mountains I decided to make the move to Portland to grow as a "photographer in a bigger market". And I did the "photographer in a bigger market" thing and I learned a lot, however, I still found myself sneaking back to the mountains and rivers to unwind, regroup and fly fish. That's when it all clicked. I started photographing my adventures with friends on the water fly fishing. After a while, it was time to get back to the mountains and leave the grind and Central Oregon was the landing spot. Since then I've been able to photograph fly fishing adventures year-round and work with amazing folks throughout the world and here in Oregon. I still get more excited about taking an amazing photograph over catching an amazing fish!
